Take a chance on art at the TLA 2012 Disaster Relief Fund raffle!  This year's whimsical masterpiece was donated byauthor/illustrator Julian Hector. Raised outside of Austin by two biologists, Hector studied illustration at Parsons The New School for Design in New York. His work has often been praised for its quiet humor.

The annual art raffle benefits the Texas Library Disaster Relief Fund, created to assist libraries in our state as they recover from natural disasters. The raffle will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2012 during the second general session of the TLA Annual Conference in Houston. A ticket form is available for the convenience of those who will not be at conference this spring (mail by Monday, April 9); and tickets may be purchased onsite at the Disaster Relief Table on level 3 outside of the ballroom prefunction area: $5 each or 5 for $20.
