A recent post to the TLC list inquiring about which educational conference a school librarian should attend (TLA or another group's convention) has pointed out a glaring fact: many Texas librarians don't understand the full breadth of TLA's services to the library community--not just to TLA members. For the record, let me just say that, of course, librarians can and should select their CE choices based on what is a priority to them. I'm not bothered by honest selection among many good CE opportunities in the state.
