Individual TLA Memberships

You may submit your application for membership in the Texas Library Association through either the online (see below) or print option  (pdf); however, please do not submit your application more than once as you may be charged twice. For best results, use Internet Explorer for all online forms. If you want to mail your application with a check, money order, or credit card payment (or fax with credit card information), please use the PDF version of our membership form.

If you want to pay by credit card, joining or renewing online is the easiest option. Your browser will be transported to a secure server where your credit card information will be safe. You will need a browser capable of handling forms to use this option.

  • If you are JOINING for the first time or have not been a member for more than two years, please use the online Membership Application Form.

If you are RENEWING a current membership (or a recently lapsed one – within the past two years; or

If you need to UPDATE your membership information:

  • Update your records (email, address, employment, etc.) 
  • Change or Add TLA group affiliations (division, round table or interest group, district)
  • Select a new username and password
  • Print receipts

Other Membership Types

The membership year is January 1 - December 31. As a member service, TLA accepts American Express, VISA, MasterCard, Discover/Novus. The basic dues includes a complimentary membership in one division and one round table or interest group. If a member chooses to join additional divisions, ten percent (10%) should be added to the basic dues for each additional division. If a member chooses to join additional round tables and/or interest groups, five percent (5%) should be added to the basic dues for each choice.
